Dr. Melanie Leppelmann B.Sc., ND
Dr. Melanie Leppelmann B.Sc., ND began her post secondary education working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. It was during this time that she was introduced to naturopathic medicine and shortly thereafter knew she wanted to become a naturopathic doctor. After she earned her Bachelor of Science she went on to graduate from the naturopathic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Dr. Leppelmann is passionate about the care and health of her patients. At the root of her treatments are the naturopathic principles, most importantly, to treat the cause of the illness rather than the symptoms. A personal family history of various types of cancer has lead her to have a special interest in the treatment of cancer, support of cancer patients as they go through radiation or chemotherapy and the prevention of cancer. She also has an interest and many years of experience treating fatigue, gastrointestinal, menstrual and skin disorders as well as fertility support and pediatric care. When she is not busy with her practice she enjoys spending time with her family and an active lifestyle including recreational sports, cross-country skiing, camping and gardening.
