Protect Your Health from
Environmental Toxicity
Natural Detoxification and Wellness
We live in a toxic world.
On a daily basis, we are exposed to chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, cleaners, and many others. We are also exposed to air quality issues such as mold exposures and pharmaceutical drug residues in our drinking water. This doesn’t even take into account the chemicals we choose to put on or in our bodies such as deodorant, shampoo, makeup, moisturizers, sunscreen, bug sprays, toothpaste, to name a few.
Toxicity can result in a plethora of different disease states, from increasing your risk for cancer, to hormonal imbalances, digestive disorders, neurological conditions / imbalances, mental health issues, skin diseases, autoimmune diseases, immune system issues, as well as many more.
Through comprehensive assessment and testing, a Naturopathic Doctor can help determine if toxicity is the cause of your symptoms and/or medical concerns that you are experiencing.
Environmental Medicine
Explore your current and past to identify exposures to toxicants & chemicals and how they’re affecting your health. Once identified you can plan how best to eliminate and reduce their negative effects to restore well-being.
Uh.. doesn’t our body detoxify itself?
The simple answer? Yes, our body has the ability to detoxify. One of the things the body is especially good at is getting rid of any toxic elements and chemicals that can compromise overall health.
With the sheer amount of chemicals and toxins we’re exposed to on a daily basis, it’s easy to see how our bodies can become overwhelmed with chemicals and sometimes our toxin-fighting organs need help in the battle. Different people have varying capacities to detoxify. From the genetic 'mistakes' or 'SNP's' impacting liver detoxification enzymes, to nutrient status impacting the efficiency of functional detox, to previous toxicant load (including in utero exposures) and current exposures, and other health conditions - our ability to detoxify can be influenced and challenged under certain conditions / circumstances.

ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS TESTING
The environment we live in has become more toxic, making it more difficult to identify exposure to naturally occurring and human made toxic substances.
Toxic substances are becoming more and more prevalent in our environment, from mycotoxins produced by various mold species to industrial air pollutants to toxic substances found in everyday household cleaners and beauty products. Exposure to these environmentally ubiquitous compounds can cause endocrine and metabolic disruptions and have been associated with various diseases and neurological conditions.
Book an Initial Environmental Medicine Consult to discuss if Environmental Toxins Testing is for you.
